Think Whitewater.

If you are interested in working as a guide for Whitewater Challengers on the Black River in Northern New York contact Julie or Tom @ 3156396100.
Class III-IV - Flows up to 10,000 cfs (down to...?)
You need current First Aid and CPR certification and New York State Guide License (which you get as you train).
It's a great way to spend the next 4 to 5 months!

I hold a Maine Guide's License, would I still have to go through the full training class or is there and an accelerated class for folks like myself?

It's case by case with the company. NY itself only requires 8 trips down the river before you can get the license but the company requires more (more for some than others). Our season opener is this weekend. The best thing to do is to call and arrange to come down and take a couple of trips with us. From there it is up to the Bossman as to how long your training goes.
