Think Whitewater.

First it's the plastic action hero, now politics. Professional kayaker Tao Berman has thrown his helmet in the ring and is running for political office in Washington. According to the Yakima Herald, Berman is running as a Democrat against Republican Dan Newhouse for a seat in the state legislature.

Berman's never held office and it's doubtful he'll win in the conservative 15th District region near White Salmon, where he lives, according to the Herald. That said, I doubt Newhouse has ever run a 98-foot waterfall.

I suppose that its a start. He could incorporate some video and pictures and put a face on the problems that he wants to address. Just a thought. It would be better than the greenscreen he is in front of at the very least.

Is this serious? Two ambulances? Is that a platform you can win on?
