TACEN EXTREME with DUEM STUFF

Tacen slalom course in Slovenija is well known for its worl class slalom races and it is one of more difficult slalom courses. This yeare it hosted the bigest freeride kayak festival in Slovenija and one of the best organised events in central EU.

Saturday stardet in the afternoon with rodeo. The best show was pulled by Daniel Herzig from AUS, who clearly impresed the judges with his Pheonix monkeys and airial carthweels. A nice surprise and progression was shown by the local rider Andraž Krpič, who realy aded some tricks up his sleeve from previus season, perfectly thrown Felix was one of them, it took him just few points behind Daniel.
The best looking girl in the hole was Katerina Migdavova, she showed us the stuff that she lurned in her home Chech Republic.

After a stunning boal of golaš for lunch, came the most fun event for most competitors, but specialy the spectators. Big-air ramp was built in perfect hight and we where able to perform all the bigest tricks yet posible. And for those of us who where jumping for the first time, this ramp was iven more impresing and lots of fun.
In the ambient of a beutifull sunset, the wining jumpm was performed by Slovenian best extreme kayaker Andrej Bjuklič. Backside loop took him to the top step in the finals.

After all this padeling we where all wery well motivated for the party, right there by the river. Open bar and free grill left nobody hungry and everibody drunk. Sily behavior and dansing went on late into the night.

Sunday was a bit dizzy for most, but another beutifull day for the competition in cross. The first rapid on the slalom course is preaty narow and fast, like a real slide in the creecking world, which made parallel racing wery interesting and tactical. Hire the competitors from slalom came to their chance and shown us what it means to be well trained. After one of the favorites Brovinski got in an accident, Matic Terčelj took the lead and won in final round.

It was a legendary weekend for local kayak comunity, it is becoming traditional and beter every yeare. The only bad thing overall was that we hat to bring down the big-air ramp after the event. Can't wait for the next yeare, hope to see you there!
